David Keel Miller, 58, of Holts Summit, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 14, 2016, at his home. He was born on July 9, 1957, in Jefferson City, Mo., the son of Verlin and Ruby Louise (LeCuru) Miller. He was united in marriage on August 13, 2003, in Eureka Springs, Ark., to Nancy Kliethermes, who survives of the home. He was a graduate of Jefferson City High School and attended the University of Missouri-Columbia. He worked for over 30 years with the Missouri Department of Conservation in the Information Technologies Department until his retirement in 2009. David was an avid angler. He enjoyed fishing and the peace it brought. He also enjoyed growing beautiful flowers and plants, watching all animals enjoying the rustic outdoors and channeled his inner artistic abilities in landscaping to make his home beautiful. He loved spending time with his wife and family and treasured the memories they made. David also cared deeply for his two "furbabies," Dorrie and Lexie. They were his constant companions and he loved them dearly. He is also survived by: his mother, Ruby Louise Miller of Jefferson City; two sisters, Janice Huff of Jefferson City and Kathy (Lennie) Frank of Holts Summit; mother-in-law, Goldie Kliethermens of Westphalia; sister-in-laws, Kristie Miller of Jefferson City, Linda (Gene) Ormond of North Carolina, Donna (Bill) Hahn of Florida and Mary Beth (Ben) Peters of Bonnots Mill; special friend, Colleen Binkley of Holts Summit; several nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his father, Verlin Miller and one brother, James Robert Miller. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
