Tony A. Neutzler

Tony A. Neutzler, 86, Kansas City, Mo., passed away Monday, March 21, 2016. Born in Jefferson City, Mo., he attended St. Peter's High School, Jefferson City Junior College and Missouri University. He enlisted in the Marine Corps during the Korean War and received the Purple Heart from wounds received in combat. He was a member of The American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Military Order of the Purple Heart. He owned and managed a Night Club with food service and live bands. He also owned a liquor store there before moving to Kansas City in 1957. He was employed as an Engineer at Western Electric and retired from AT&T after 30 years of service there. While working at AT&T, he owned and maintained rental property around the Kansas City area and had a Lake Development at the Lake of the Ozarks. He was preceded in death by his parents, Max and Amelia Neutzler of Jefferson City. Tony is survived by his wife, Joyce Hoss; daughter, Lynn Stryker and son Gary Neutzler, both living in Texas; and son, Jay Neutzler, residing in Arizona; sisters, Lucille Kampeter and Leona Neutzler, both of Jefferson City; step-sons, Rick and Jeff Hoss and step-daughter, Tina Hoss. Memorial services will be scheduled at a later date in Jefferson City.
