Regina Mary Morff

Mrs. Regina Mary (Kempker) Morff, age 97 years, formerly of Mary's Home, Mo., passed away Friday, March 4, 2016, at Jefferson City Nursing and Rehab with her family by her side. She was born on June 13, 1918 in Henley, Mo., the daughter of Herman and Gertrude (Kirkweg) Kempker. She was married on August 8, 1939 in Mary's Home, Mo., to Victor Morff. He preceded her in death on June 13, 1988. Regina was a member of Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church, Mary's Home, Mo. She was a homemaker and resident of Henley, Mo. until retirement in 1979 when her and Vic sold their dairy farm and moved to Mary's Home. She enjoyed bowling, fishing, bingo, quilting and cooking for her family. Survivors include her children: Jo Ann Alexander, St. James, Mo.; Ronald (Betty) Morff, Eugene, Mo.; Roger (Bev) Morff, Jefferson City, Mo.; and Judy Hinson, Columbia, Mo.; 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, four great-great- grandchildren, with two more due this year; and a sister-in-law, Marie Holtmeyer, Jefferson City, Mo. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two son-in-laws, Joe Alexander and Bill Hinson; three brothers and four sisters. Visitation will be Monday, March 7, 2016 at Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church of Mary's Home, Mo. from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary prayed at 4:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church with Rev. Patrick J. Shortt officiating. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Snows Cemetery. Memorials in her name are suggested to Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church; Hospice Compassus of Jefferson City, Mo.; or for Masses in her memory. Arrangements are under the direction of Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, Mo.
