Shirley Ann Carron, 81, of Holts Summit, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 28, 2016, at her home. She was born January 28, 1935, in Woolwich, South East London, a daughter of the late Charles George and Annie Ellen (Hart) Morgan. Shirley was a 1951 graduate of Charlton School in London, England. On January 5, 1957, Shirley was united in marriage in Charlton Parish in London, England SE7, to John Gillis Carron, who survives at their home. Shirley was a homemaker, wife and mother for over 50 years. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, in Jefferson City, and previously in Fulton, Mo. Shirley loved reading, sewing, serving others and cooking. Most of all, she loved her family and spending precious time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Along with her husband of 59 years, Shirley is also survived by three sons, David Carron (wife Shawna) of Jefferson City, Mo., Graham Carron (wife Susan) of Wilmington, N.C. and Paul Carron (wife Sunny) of Jefferson City, Mo.; one daughter, Deborah Cote (husband Jamie) of Holts Summit, Mo.; one brother, Robert Morgan of London, England; one sister, Fran Pearce (husband Alan) of London, England; two sisters-in-law, Marion Morgan of Norfolk, England and Eileen Colpus (husband Rodney) of London, England; 19 grandchildren, Christopher, Stephen, Courtni, Jared, Jordan, Bethany, Philip, Benjamin, Gregory, Ethan, John, Alyssa, Brayden, Carly, Hannah, Ian, Emily, Jackson and Carson; and four great-grandchildren, Sarah, Peter, Elliot and Scout. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Annie Morgan; and one brother, Peter Morgan. Friends will be received from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 3, 2016, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 4618 Henwick Lane, Jefferson City, MO 65109. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 3, 2016, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, with Bishop Dwain Roberts conducting the service. A Private Interment for the Family will be held in Riverview Cemetery.
