Peggy Jean (Roling) Puckett

Peggy Jean (Roling) Puckett, 81, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Thursday, June 30, 2016, at the Miller County Nursing and Rehab in Tuscumbia, Mo. She was born May 27, 1935, in Jefferson City, Mo., the daughter of the late Emil H. and Aurelia K. (Eveler) Roling. She was formerly married to David Neal Puckett, who preceded her in death in 2002. Peggy graduated from St. Peters High School in Jefferson City, Mo., in 1953. She was a member of the River City Red Hatters and past member of the Eagles in Jefferson City, Mo. She was an avid card player who enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, her family and tending her flowers. Survivors include: daughter, Gayla Sue Neiman of Jefferson City, Mo.; sons, Timothy Chester Puckett of Eugene, Mo. and Rodney David Puckett of Eugene, Mo.; 13 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and sister, Mary Ellen Hood of Green Valley, Mo. Also preceding her were: one brother, Harold E. "Bub" Roling; and two sisters, Doris A. O'Rourke and Vivian C. Balkenbusch. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 5, 2016, from 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church in Mary's Home, Mo., with the Funeral Mass beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Snows Cemetery. Memorials in her name are suggested to Our Lady of the Snows Catholic School. Arrangements are under the direction and care of Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, Mo.
