Earl Jewell

Earl William Jewell, 93, of Lake City, Minn, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, January 17, 2016. He was born in Mora, Minn. on April 27, 1922, to Elwood and Malisa (Claggett) Jewell. He enjoyed farming, taking care of his cattle, dancing, playing cards, bowling, pitching horse shoes, and spending time with friends and family. Earl was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Roy and Arthur; sister, Tresa; first wife, Winifred (Rosner); second wife, Betty (Adams) and one son, Kevin. Earl is survived by his partner, Lorraine Rebe of Lake City, Minn.; his son, James (Pat) Jewell of Davenport, Fla.; his daughter, Marla Wallace of Jefferson City, Mo.; his grandchildren, Heather (JeriLynn) Hedden of Hastings, Minn., Anthony (Kristen) Jewell of Berryville, Ark., Melissa (Jeremy) Christ of St. Cloud, Fla., Erin (Dave) Tice of Jamestown, Mo., and William (Tiffany) Jewell of Linn, Mo.; his great-grandchildren, Kaitlin, Hannah, Joseph, Anthony Jr., Evan, Dakota, Natasha, Eli, Krista and Russell as well as many other friends and family who loved him dearly. A celebration of his life will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Russellville on Saturday, January 30. Visitation will be at 1:00 with the service at 2:00. Interment will be held privately at Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery in Russellville, Mo. Memorials may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association or the American Cancer Society.
