William Paul Neeley

William Paul Neeley, age 61, of Jefferson City, died Friday, February 5, 2016, at his home. He was born February 5, 1955, in Cole County, Missouri, to his parents, William Preston Neeley and Billie Sue Strange. He attended Jefferson City High School and was a lifelong resident of the central Missouri area. He was a construction worker for most of his adult life and was disabled in his later years. He enjoyed writing poetry, telling stories, reading books, studying the Bible, and spending time with friends and family. He had a unique ability to make people feel special and always gave warm hugs of encouragement. He was a loyal friend and family member and never knew a stranger. He is survived by his mother, Billie Sue Borgmeyer, and her husband Bernie of Eldon, Missouri; his step-mother, Mary Neeley of Jefferson City; one step-son, Doug Quinn of Ashland, Missouri; two daughters, Jessica Neeley of Cleveland, Ohio, and Charlie Neeley of Jefferson City; one son, Jacob Neeley of Holts Summit, Missouri; eight brothers, Jim Gerling, Gary Neeley, Michael Neeley, Ronald Borgmeyer, Jeff Gerling, Jay Gerling, Kyle Neeley, and Kevin Neeley; two sisters, Theresa Seabaugh and Lisa Munoz; and 14 grandchildren, Colton, Aubrey, Elliot, Remi, Aspen, Jake, Reese, Avery, Sebastian, Arden, Tuni, Justus, Mauria, and Dalton. He was preceded in death by his father, William Neeley, a brother, Larry Neeley; and a grandson, Paul Miller. A memorial service will be conducted Tuesday, February 9, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. at First Assembly of God in Jefferson City with Pastor Lowell Perkins officiating.
