Carl Gene Shelton

Carl Gene Shelton, 84, of Meta, died Friday, December 23, 2016, in SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital, Jefferson City. Survivors include his wife, Cecile Shelton; his children, Michael Shelton, Karen Carskadon; six grandchildren, Melissa, Tyler, Wallace Rex, Joshua, McKinsey, Jayden; three great-grandchildren, Tyleigh, Ryan, Nissa; brother, Jerry Shelton; and sisters, Joy Dye, Jacqueline Stack. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Friday, December 30, 2016, with funeral services following, all in the Vienna Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Dick Lawson Cemetery, Dixon, under the direction of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna.
