Lola Mae Pittrich, age 91, of Russellville, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2016, at Oak Tree Villas in Jefferson City. She was born February 1, 1925, in Brazito, a daughter of Herman A. and Bertie E. Bates Holzbierlein. Lola Mae was united in marriage to Roy J. Pittrich on August 3, 1947, in Jefferson City. He preceded her in death on November 17, 2002. She was a graduate of Russellville High School. During the war, Lola Mae worked in the Kansas City area. After returning to Russellville, she was a homemaker, busy raising their children and helping Roy on their farm. She was a faithful member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Russellville where she taught Sunday school, helped with the annual rummage sale, served on the smorgasbord dressing committee, volunteered for Meals on Wheels, and was active in the WELCA. Lola Mae loved being on the farm, where she kept busy with her vegetable garden. She and Roy enjoyed the time they spent traveling. She enjoyed baking and was known for her pies, cinnamon rolls and cookies. She was also an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Mizzou fan. Survivors include four children: Linda Mattern of St. Elizabeth, Judy Thompson and husband Larry of Russellville, Janet Pittrich of Russellville, and Keith Pittrich and wife Sonja of Shawnee, Kansas; four grandchildren: Kevin Miller and wife Angela, Lance Thompson and wife Melissa, Wade Pittrich and Grant Pittrich; four great-grandchildren: Caitlyn and Brycen Miller and Cameron and Addison Thompson; brother-in-law: Don Pittrich and wife Billie of Eldon; two nephews, three nieces, along with other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband, Lola Mae was preceded in death by her parents; two grandsons, Ryan Thompson and Brent Mattern; a brother and sister-in-law, Clyde and Ruthilene Holzbierlein; an infant sister; and a sister-in-law, Edna Pittrich. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, August 20, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Russellville with Pastor Edward Merckel officiating. Interment will be in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Russellville. The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, August 19, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Russellville.
