Della Mae Vaughan, 88, of Huntsville, passed away Friday, August 12, 2016, at Loch Haven Senior Living Community in Macon. She was born August 2, 1928, in Clarksburg, Mo., a daughter of Edgar and Sythia (Jobe) Simmers. On September 13, 1947, in Harrisville, Ark., she married Ralph E. Vaughan who preceded her in death on April 2, 2000. Della was a member of the Huntsville First Baptist Church and she enjoyed sewing and cooking. Survivors include her son, Kenneth E. Vaughan and wife Sondra of Huntsville, Mo.; two grandchildren, Kenneth Vaughan Jr., Rachel Vaughan and two great-grandchildren, Chasity Jenkins and Hayden Vaughan. In addition to both her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, William Simmers, and Truman Simmers. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 16, 2016, at Patton Funeral Home in Huntsville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 17, 2016, with a second visitation one hour prior to services at the Huntsville First Baptist Church, with Bro. John Rhodes officiating. Burial will be held at the Hickman Cemetery in Clarksburg, Mo. with the graveside starting at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to the Huntsville First Baptist Church or the Missouri Baptist Children's Home.
