Mrs. Patricia S. Hall, age 64 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Monday, August 1, 2016, at home surrounded by her loving family. Pat was born on December 13, 1951 in Amarillo, Texas, a daughter of John and Beatrice (Clark) Golom. She was a 1970 graduate of Ursuline Academy in St. Louis, Mo. She received her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education in 1974 from Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau and in 1978 completed her Masters in Arts in Special Education. A resident of the central Missouri area for over 35 years, Pat was employed with the Jefferson City Public Schools for over 25 years until her retirement in May 2014. During those years she was a special education teacher and was passionate about her profession. Her retirement quote was "I believe a teacher's job is to help prepare students to be productive members of society. As teachers, it is our responsibility to give each student our full attention with enthusiasm, compassion and love of our job. We are the role models for their future" She was a member of the Cathedral of St. Joseph and volunteered with numerous organizations. Her greatest aspiration in life was being a mother and she devoted all her energy into loving, supporting and encouraging her children. Her children brought her joy and love and those feelings continued with her grandson, Nolan. Pat always treasured the wonderful adventures she shared with Nolan. Riding her bike on the Katy Trail with close friends was another activity she looked forward to and enjoyed. Survivors include: one son, Josh Hall and his wife Lauren of Jefferson City, Mo.; one daughter, Ashley Visco and her husband Tim of Palmyra, Pa.; one grandson, Nolan Hall of Jefferson City, Mo.; her father, John Golom of Shawnee Mission, Kan.; three sisters, Kathy Daly of Webster Groves, Mo., Rebecca Hanneman and her husband Tom of Lenexa, Kan., and Linda Mies and her husband Mike of Overland Park, Kan.; two brothers, Matt Golom of Shawnee Mission, Kan. and Mike Golom of Louisburg, Kan.; her ex-husband and friend, Bob Hall of Jefferson City, Mo.; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Beatrice Golom, on February 6, 2016 and a brother-in-law, Marc Daly. Visitation will be held at Freeman Mortuary from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 4, 2016 with a prayer service at 4:30 p.m. in the Freeman Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 5, 2016 at the Cathedral of St. Joseph with the Reverend Monsignor Robert Kurwicki officiating. Private graveside services and inurnment will be held at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Tamara Hopkins Patient Assistance Fund, 1704 Christy Court, Suite 500, Jefferson City, MO 65101.
