Ronald W Borgmeyer

Ronald W. Borgmeyer, 58, of Jefferson City, passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2016, at Capital Region Medical Center. He was born on November 2, 1957, in Taos, Mo., the son of Bernard and Frances (Allison) Borgmeyer. He was married on May 1, 1994, in Jefferson City, to Tammy Lynn Goller, who preceded him in death on December 15, 2014. Service to others was Ron's passion. He served his country as a United States Marine and his state as a member of the Missouri National Guard. In later years he was a member of the local Marine Corps League. He helped with many fundraisers throughout the years but his favorite was the Toys for Tots program. He made it his personal goal to ensure that as many children as possible had a wonderful Christmas. He also enjoyed participating in the fundraising barbecues, where he could always be found at the pork steak pit. The highlight of the year for Ron was the Marine Corps League ball which he attended faithfully. He served his community by presenting our nation's colors at several parades and civic events through the years. To Ron, the United States Marine Corps was not just the branch of the military he served in; it was a way of life and who he was. Once a Marine, always a Marine! Semper Fi! Survivors include: his father; two sons; and three grandchildren. Ron was preceded in death by: his wife; his mother; and one sister. Celebration of Life services will be held on the afternoon of April 22, 2016, at the Marine Corps League building, 4925 Business 50 W, Jefferson City, MO 65109. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Marine Corps League.
