Linda J. Andrews, age 67, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at home in her daughter's care. Linda was born on September 6, 1948, the daughter of Dean and Margie Louise (Coker) Andrews. A lifelong resident of Jefferson City, Linda was a 1966 graduate of Jefferson City High School. She later graduated from Merrill University after studying cosmetology. Linda was a beautician for over 15 years and made many friends during those years. She worked at Super Hair and was the founder of Studio One Salon. She later received her real estate license and worked alongside her family at Andrews Realty. She was a proud member of Alcoholics Anonymous for over 28 years and a longtime supporter of the American Society for the Protection of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA). Linda loved to paint and was an extremely creative person. She had a great sense of humor and cherished time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed playing Skip-Bo and being outdoors in her garden. Survivors include: one daughter, Cherish Rich of Jefferson City, Mo; two grandchildren, Miyah Hope Henderson and Ashley Ann Henderson, both of Holts Summit, Mo.; one sister, Dana Andrews-DeChant and her husband Kevin of Jefferson City, Mo.; one brother, Roger Sheppard and his wife Jamie of North Carolina; a nephew, Eddie Andrews of New York City; a niece, Elizabeth Weider of Columbia, Mo.; and many close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Cameron Scott Weider; and one sister, Edna Sheppard. Visitation will be held at Freeman Mortuary from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. Monday, April 11, 2016. A funeral service will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. Monday, April 11, 2016, in the Freeman Chapel with Chaplain Eddie Schoenebert officiating. Graveside services and interment will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at Resurrection Cemetery.
