Kenyon Lawrence Maier

Kenyon Lawrence Maier, 60, of Russellville, passed away Thursday September 17, 2015, at his home. He was born April 9, 1955 in Moniteau County, the son of August L. Maier Sr. and Wilhelmina Sophia Elizabeth Brandt Maier, both of whom preceded him in death. He graduated from Russellville High School. Kenyon was a life long farmer, he also worked with Fahrni Auction Services and retired from Cole R-1 school, in Russellville. Kenyon was a big help with the turkey smorgasbord at his church (which will take three people to replace his potato peeling duty) and the annual FFA turkey dinner. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where he once served on the cemetery board, Young Farmers Association and Piedmontese Cattle Association. Kenyon touched many lives and will be missed by all. His survivors include one sister, Janice Maier Brautigam, of Russellville; five nephews, Kevin (Melissa) Brautigam, of Russellville, Edward Maier, of Jefferson City, David (Debra) Maier, of Jefferson City, Doug (Michele) Brautigam, of Russellville, and Gary (Marilyn) Maier, of Jefferson City; one niece, Sandi Maier, of Jefferson City; and several great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Kenyon was preceded in death by two brothers, August Maier Jr. and Arnold Maier. Visitation will be Sunday from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., September 20, 2015 at Weber Funeral Home, Russellville. The funeral service will be Monday, September 21, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Russellville. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
