Regina Doerhoff

Regina Doerhoff, age 102, of St. Anthony, passed away on Tuesday, November 24, 2015, at St. Elizabeth Care Center. She was born in St. Anthony on October 13, 1913, daughter of the late Charles and Katherine (Boeckman) Schepers. On November 22, 1937, Regina married Philip Bernard Doerhoff, who preceded her in death on September 15, 1988. Regina along with her husband Philip owned and operated Doerhoff Mercantile in St. Anthony from 1940 until 1972. She loved to quilt, garden, and fish. Regina was a member of Altar Sodality, Sunshine Gals, Senior Citizen Club and was active in numerous community activities. She was also a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in St. Anthony. She is survived by one son, Richard Doerhoff and wife Mary of Trenton; one daughter, Mildred Schulte and husband Henry of Mary's Home; 10 grandchildren, Dale Doerhoff (Trish) of Texas, Doug Doerhoff (Laura) of California, David Doerhoff (Kristen) of Kansas City, Rob Doerhoff (Kate) of Iowa, Craig Doerhoff of Iowa, Joseph Doerhoff (Melinda) of Iowa, Michelle Van Dossler (Keith) of Iowa, Scott Schulte of Mary's Home, Amy Veasman (Scott) of Brinktown, and Wesley Schulte (Jessica) of Mary's Home; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one son, Robert Doerhoff on September 17, 1990; three brothers, Adolph, Otto, and Raymond Schepers; and four sisters, Emma Fox, Christine Brune, Marie Hedrick, and Ida Graham. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 12 (noon), with Mass of Christian Burial immediately following at 12 p.m., on Saturday, November 28, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in St. Anthony. Fr. Joby Thomas will officiate. Interment will be in St. Anthony Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the St. Anthony Cemetery.
