Mrs. Delphia May Morgan, age 103 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., died Sunday, November 22, 2015, at the Summit Villa Nursing Center. Delphia was born February 21, 1912, in Livonia, Mo., the daughter of Mason and Verdia Blankenship Barnhart. On March 1, 1930, at Unionville, Mo., she married Lee Ryals who preceded her in death on October 9, 1961. On September 22, 1966, at Unionville, Mo., she married Keith Morgan who preceded her in death on December 20, 1987. She graduated from Lancaster High School in Lancaster, Mo. and taught at Petty School, a one room school west of Omaha. Delphia and Lee Ryals owned the Ryals Oil Company, which eventually became Unionville Motors. They sold Cadillac, GMC and Pontiac brands and were the first Willys dealership in north Missouri. They also owned and operated a one thousand acre farm with registered Angus cattle. One of her goals was to travel to all the 48 contiguous states and she accomplished that goal in the 1970's. Her focus in life was God and her family. Her favorite hobbies were cooking, quilting, and attending church and family functions. A resident of the Jefferson City area since 1976, Delphia was a member of the Capital City Christian Church, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Unionville Chapter No. 62, a member of the Grand Cross of Color, and the Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem. Survivors include: four grandchildren, Andrew Lee Schwerdtfeger and his wife Mary Beth of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Cynthia Ann Anderson and her husband Jonathen of Columbia, Mo., Jill Leslie McDonald and her partner David Gregg of Jefferson City. Mo. and Sara Kristen Hartford and her husband Robert of Pierre, South Dakota; seven great-grandchildren, Andrew James Schwerdtfeger, Nathaniel Gregory McDonald, Mary Agnes Lester, Melissa Ann Anderson, Amanda Ryals Schwerdtfeger, Adam Lee Anderson, and Shannon Elisabeth McDonald; and nine great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; her daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and James Schwerdtfeger; one great-grandson, Christopher John Schwerdtfeger; one great-great-grandson, August James McDonald; and two brothers, Glen Barnhart and Cloyd Barnhart. Visitation will be at the Capital City Christian Church from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 24, 2015. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 25, 2015, at the Unionville Cemetery, Unionville, Mo. with the Reverend Don Fankhauser officiating.
