Bonnie Lou Nicks

Bonnie Lou Nicks, 87, of Owensville, Mo., passed away Monday, November 23, 2015, at St. Mary's Health Center in Jefferson City. Bonnie was born in Bourbon on February 16, 1928, to the late Orville and Caroline (Moyer) Cunningham. On October 18, 1947, in Owensville she was united in marriage to Wilbert E. Nicks. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Owensville. She enjoyed her family, gardening, crafts, ceramics and traveling. Her survivors include: her children, Myra Beth Leach and husband Edward and Darryl Nicks and wife Debbie, all of Owensville; sister, Janet Rae Deuel and husband James of Henderson, Nev.; grandchildren, Michael Leach and wife Jeanie, David Leach, Krista Kelley and husband Nathan, Courtney Nicks and Terry Nicks; great-grandchildren, Broden, Kabren and Grayson Kelley, Hunter Shelton and Alexandra and Adreahna Leach; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert. Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 24, from 4-8 p.m., at Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in Owensville. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, November 25, at 11:00 a.m., at Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in Owensville with Rev. Terry Knight officiating. Burial will be in Countryside Memorial Gardens in Owensville.
