Dennis Wayne "Denny" Bade, age 65, of Vienna, departed this life on Wednesday, March 25, 2015, in the SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital, Jefferson City, surrounded by his loved ones. Denny was born on November 27, 1949, in Maries County, a son of Julius Joseph and Thelma Sarah (Wiles) Bade. Denny was united in marriage on January 21, 1971, at Vienna, to the former Miss Joan Ellen Bray, and to this union, one son was born. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan, on March 27, 2004; his father, Julius, on February 22, 1978; his mother, Thelma, on June 2, 2009; one brother, Dwight Lee Bade, on March 26, 1969; one sister, June Marie Thompson, on May 10, 1976, and one nephew, Ricky Charles Thompson, on November 27, 2012. Denny was baptized at an early age and was a member of the Vienna United Methodist Church. He was a 1967 graduate of the Maries R-1 High School, Vienna. Denny proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1971 - 1973, and it was during this time that he met two people that would become his lifelong friends, Randy Chandler and Jim Novak. Denny had worked as a carpenter in construction for most of his working life and was a member of the Carpenters Union No. 2298 for many, many years. He loved to hunt and fish and was a good hand with a dog or horse. Denny especially enjoyed gardening and sharing the bounty from his garden with family, friends, and neighbors. He loved and enjoyed life to the fullest. Survivors include: His fiancÈ, Linda Hollis Armstrong of Jefferson City; his son, Tim Bade of Pooler, Georgia; three grandchildren, Cody, Justin and Morgan Bade of Warner Robins, Georgia; two nieces, Debbie Thompson Stokes of Vienna, and Rhonda Thompson Lowe and husband, Bobby, of Butler; one nephew, Kevin Thompson and his wife, Kim, of Vienna; his extended family, Carrie, Justin, Alex and Sarah Wilburn of Brinktown; Kyle Wilburn of Columbia; Chris and Jill Hefner of St. Louis; Jackson Allen of St. Louis; and other relatives and friends. All visitation for Denny will be held in the Vienna Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., on Sunday, March 29, 2015, and from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., on Monday, March 30, 2015. Funeral services for Denny will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, March 30, 2015, in the Vienna Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes with the Rev. Lynn Quist officiating. Interment with full military honors will be in the Vienna Public Cemetery under the direction of the Vienna Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes.
