Adella "Della" Mary McEvers, 97, of Jefferson City, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at Golden Living Center in Jefferson City. She was born in Folk, Mo., on February 4, 1918, a daughter of Steven W. and Josephine (Wekenborg) Wilbers, who preceded her in death. On April 11, 1959, she was married in Jefferson City to Maurice A. McEvers, who preceded her in death in 1982. Della served as the Executive Secretary to the Missouri Highway Commission until 1959. She was a devoted member of the Immaculate Conception Parish for over 60 years. Della belonged to the Immaculate Conception Church Circle, Daughters of Isabella and the St. Maryís Hospital Auxiliary. She was an avid Bridge player, golfer, loved to travel and enjoyed spending time with her many nieces and nephews. She is survived by: 12 nieces and nephews, Jerry (Joyce) Kraus of Jefferson City, Mo., Ronda (Jim) Findlay of Jefferson City, Mo., Becky (Ronnie) Rowden of Jefferson City, Mo., Mike Kraus of Jefferson City, Mo., Renee Christian of Jefferson City, Mo., Linda (Bill) Horne of Memphis, Tenn., Joan (Jay) Fell of Tracy, Calif., Gary (Enedina) Wilbers of Kansas City, Mo., Lisa (Steve) Doss of New Orleans, La., Debbie (Terry) Domain of St. Louis, Mo., Cindy (Jerry) Odehnal of St. Louis, Mo., Tom Chukorin of St. Louis, Mo.; 21 great-nieces and nephews; and 22 great-great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: three brothers, Clifford Wilbers, Leonard Wilbers, Roman Wilbers; and three sisters, Lucille Chukorin, Helen Fork, Mary Jane Kraus. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Msgr. David D. Cox officiating. Private family entombment will take place at the Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleum.
