John Edward Horn

John Edward Horn, 75, of Columbia, peacefully passed away Saturday, February 28, 2015, surrounded by his loving wife and family, at Ellis Fischel Cancer Center. John was born December 6, 1939, to Lloyd and Goldie Horn in Jefferson City, where he lived until 1976. He was employed by Rackers Construction and at the University of Missouri. John was best known for his love of telling jokes and his wonderful sense of humor. John is survived by: Sue, his loving wife of 35 years; his five children, Samuel (Kathy) Horn of Columbia, Travis (Michelle) Horn of Pa., John (Candy) Horn, Lisa Daniels and Michael (Amanda) Russell, all from Jefferson City; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and sister, Martha Foster of St. Louis. John was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Donnie and Junior Horn. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 3 from 5-8 p.m. and Wednesday from 3-4 p.m., with Memorial services immediately following at Memorial Funeral Home, followed by John's wish for cremation.
