Floyd C. Hoffmann

Floyd C. Hoffmann, 75, of Jefferson City, passed away Saturday, February 28, 2015, at University Hospital, in Columbia, Mo. He was born on August 25, 1939, in St. Louis, Mo., the son of Clarence W. Hoffmann and Mildred (Probst) Hoffmann. He was united in marriage to Sandra Schlueter on August 7, 1965, who survives at the home. He was a 1957 graduate of Lutheran Central High School in St. Louis, Missouri. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Business from Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and worked in sales management at Schlueter Manufacturing Company in St. Louis, Mo. He then became president of The Schlueter Company in Linn, Mo. and later retired as business owner of Arctic Products, LLC. He also served in the United States Army Reserve. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. Floyd enjoyed golfing and working in his yard. He was a MIZZOU, Rams, and Cardinals fan. To his family and friends he was known as "Friendly Floyd". He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Floyd is survived by his two daughters: Barbara (Robert) Lawless of St. Louis and Pamela (Frank) Forgey of Jefferson City; one sister: Charlene Clements (Wayne) of Washington, Mo.; one brother: Delbert Hoffmann (Donna) of Versailles, Mo.; four grandchildren: Lisa, Tommy, Mick and Sarah. Family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 5, 2015, at Faith Lutheran Church with funeral services following at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Tony Alter will be officiating. Interment will be at Riverview Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to: Alzheimer's Association, Faith Lutheran Church, or Calvary Lutheran High School.
