Ruth E. Heidbreder

Ruth E. Heidbreder, age 80, of Lohman, died Friday, June 19, 2015, at Heisinger Bluffs in Jefferson City. She was born June 16, 1935, on the family farm in Centertown, a daughter of Palmer and Lydia Kautsch Ehrhardt. On April 15, 1956, at St. John's Lutheran Church-Stringtown, Ruth was united in marriage to Darwin E. Heidbreder, who preceded her in death February 15, 1993. She was a 1953 graduate of Russellville High School. She was employed with Farm and Home Savings and retired from Exchange National Bank, as a customer service and assistant manager of the West facility. Ruth was a faithful member of St. John's Lutheran Church-Stringtown, where she was active in the LWML. She enjoyed working with the St. John's Braille Workers, volunteering her time to put together Braille Bibles. She was also active in the Lohman Community Center, was a volunteer at the Capital Region Health Plex Gift Shop, and served as a Cole County Election Judge. Survivors include three children: Julie E. (Jim) Branch, Jefferson City; Tim E. Heidbreder, Lohman; and Tye E. (Julie) Heidbreder, Springfield; one brother: Artwin "Art" (Del) Ehrhardt, Lohman; one sister: Betty (Bobby) Duncan, Centertown; and two grandchildren: Morgan and Matthew Branch. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Stephen E. Heidbreder; one brother, Marvin Ehrhardt; and one sister, Adelaide Wunderlich. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 24, at St. John's Lutheran Church-Stringtown with Pastor Jacob Mueller officiating. Interment will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery-Stringtown. The family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 23, at St. John's Lutheran Church-Stringtown.
