Larry Wayne Albertson

Pastor Larry Wayne Albertson, of Dixon, 68, entered into his heavenly home on Sunday, June 21, 2015. He was born on November 4, 1946, in Yakima, Wash., to Roy and Thelma Albertson. Larry married Betsy Schlesinger on February 16, 1963, in Tuscumbia, Mo. Larry is preceded in death by his parents. Larry pastored four churches; Tuscumbia for five years, Chillicothe for 10 years, Kansas City for five years and Dixon for 12 years. Above all else, Larry loved God's work in his life, his ministries for God to man was his greatest desire. He loved to preach and it was the very last thing that he did on this earth. He was a friend to everyone and never refused to lend a helping hand. He loved the outdoors. He loved gardening, mowing his yard, and boat riding. He is survived by his wife Betsy of the home; son, Marshall Albertson (Linda) of Jefferson City; daughter, Monica Rooks (Adam) of Columbia; six grandchildren Isaiah Albertson, Levi Albertson (Lauren), Lance Albertson (Jessica), all of Jefferson City, Regan Rooks, Rylee Rooks and Adison Rooks, all of Columbia; four great-grandchildren Ava Albertson, Emerson Albertson, Carly Albertson, Peyton Rooks and Baby Albertson due December 2015; one brother, Lonnie Albertson (Rena) of Tuscumbia; also a host of other relatives and friends. Larry is preceded in death by his parents. Visitation for Larry Albertson will be held at the Dixon Assembly of God today, Tuesday, June 23, 2015, from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Funeral service will also be held at Dixon Assembly of God on Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. Second service for Larry will be held at Tuscumbia First Assembly with visitation from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m., and funeral at 3:00 p.m. Interment will be at Mount Zion Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Dixon Assembly of God Church Camp Fund. All arrangements are under the direction of the Teague and Sons Funeral Home.
