Gary Simpson

Gary Simpson, 57, of California, Mo., passed away on Saturday, June, 20 2015, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo. He was born on November 8, 1957, at Kansas City, Kan. to Robert B. and Frances (Booth) Simpson, who preceded him in death. He was married to Karen Gaddy on March 12, 1976 in Marshall, Mo., who survives at the home. He graduated from Malta Bend High School in 1975. He worked as a operator in the Feed Mill at Cargill for 34 years. Gary enjoyed camping, boating, fishing, old cars, music, concerts, Diet Coke, and being with his family and grandchildren. Gary is survived by his wife; one son, Chad Simpson (Leslie) of California; one granddaughter, Madysen Brown; one grandson, Dylan Simpson; honorary children and grandchildren; three brothers, Jerry Simpson (Roxie) of Pontiac, John Simpson (Karla) of Marshall, Ken Simpson (Audrey) of Wichita, Kan.; two sisters, Sharon Collins of Altus, Okla., and Anita Herman (Rob) of Peculiar; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jim Simpson and Dale Simpson. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, June 25, 2015 at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Home. Officiating will be Brother Eddie Schoeneberg. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m., Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Home.
