Mark D. Jackman

Mr. Mark D. Jackman, age 46 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at his home. Mark was born on January 17, 1969, in Ridgewood, N.J., the son of James D. "Jim" and Joyce A. (Means) Jackman. Mark was a 1987 graduate of Monta Vista High School in Cupertino, Calif. where he played football and basketball. He later attended Arizona State University where he was a member of the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. Mark moved to central Missouri in 2002 and managed a restaurant and bar at the Lake of the Ozarks. He enjoyed his time at the lake while boating and golfing with his friends. He met his future wife, Shauna Kelly, during that time at the Lake of the Ozarks and they were married on September 25, 2004. Mark's family became the center of his life and he enjoyed staying at home with his kids. He was always involved with their activities, especially coaching any of their sports teams. Mark was an avid sports fan and enjoying watching any sport or team, as long as it was a good game. Survivors include: his loving wife, Shauna Jackman; four children, Austin Montgomery Jackman of Phoenix, Ariz., and Delanie Ann Jackman, Bryce Donald Jackman and Paige Kelly Jackman, all of the home; his mother, Joyce Jackman of Jefferson City, Mo.; one sister, Jennifer Mittleman (husband Carl) of Malvern, Pa.; one aunt, Jeannine Bosseler and her husband Russ of Broomfield, Colo.; his mother and father-in-law, Sally and Gary Kelly of Lake Ozark, Mo.; two sisters-in-law, Jennifer Saeger (husband Steve) of St. Louis, Mo. and Katie Kelly of St. Louis, Mo.; and five nieces and nephews, Dorie and Seth Mittleman, Nathan and Owen Saeger, and Myah Kelly. He was preceded in death by his father, James Jackman on December 9, 2005; his maternal grandparents, Morris and Imogene Means; and his paternal grandparents, Mitchell and Ann Jackman. Visitation will be held at Freeman Mortuary from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., Friday, July 31, 2015. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 1, 2015 in the Freeman Chapel with the Reverend Thomas McGrath officiating.
