Mildred Steenbergen Eberhart Jobe

Mildred E. Steenbergen Eberhart Jobe, age 87, of Russellville, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2015, at Adams Street in Jefferson City. She was born May 22, 1928, in Russellville, a daughter of Archie and Edna Morris Scott. Mildred married Kenneth Steenbergen and to this union six children were born. On May 20, 1975, Mildred married Dr. E.M. Eberhart, who preceded her in death October 24, 1984. On December 26, 1997, Mildred married Roy Jobe, who preceded her in death February 15, 2013. She was a graduate of Russellville High School. Mildred was a homemaker, busy raising her children. She had been employed with the Department of Education in Jefferson City and for several years worked in the medical clinic for Dr. Eberhart in Russellville. She later retired from the Department of Revenue in Jefferson City. Mildred was an active and faithful member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church near Russellville. She enjoyed fishing, working crossword puzzles and traveling with her husband. Her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with family. Mildred loved being a mom, grandma and "grandma great." Survivors include her six children and their spouses, Roger Steenbergen of Jefferson City, Revae and Larry Volkart of Russellville, Janice and Ivor Steenburgen of Henley, Robyn Huddleston of Jefferson City, Karen and Nick Payne of Russellville, and Malinda and Dave Overhoff of Roach; four step- children and their spouses, Salle Eberhart of Russellville, Dr. Meredith "Sunny" Eberhart, of Russellville, Gary and Pat Jobe of Henley, and Danny and Marlene Jobe of Jefferson City; three siblings and their spouses, Loretta and Herb Raithel of Russellville, Frances and Curtis Taggart of Jefferson City, and James Lowell and Wanda Scott of Columbia; 10 grandchildren, Connie, Keith, Cory, Andy, Jen, Shannon, Jeremy, Jessie, Jake, and Rachel, several step-grandchildren, her many beloved great- grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; her former husband Kenneth Steenbergen; five siblings, Nelda Smith, Forrest Scott, Evelyn Shikles, Ethelyn Scott, and Donna Scott; her daughter-in-law, Pam Steenbergen; and one step-son, Ronnie Jobe. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 31, at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church with Bro. Alan Earls officiating. Interment will be in the Enloe Cemetery west of Russellville. The family will receive friends from 4:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, July 30, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Russellville. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
