Robert Charles Huber, widely known as "Greasy Bob", age 74, of Jefferson City, passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2015, at Adams Street Place. He was born March 13, 1941, in Carthage, Mo., a son of Joseph and Catherine (Strop) Huber. He was married to Judy Kay Smith on May 30, 1964, in Jefferson City, Mo., at St. Peters Catholic Church, who survives at the home. He graduated from Helias High School in 1959. He was in the National Guard for six years. He worked for DeBroeck's Market while in high school and worked his way to owner. He also was a co-owner in DeBroeck's Liquor Store in California, Mo. Most people would know Bob as the owner of Pizza Kwik in Jefferson City, Mo., since 1969. Bob loved to tell stories and his voice was imitated and loved by so many. His stories were many as well as his Greasy Bob-isms like, "My doctor told me to lose weight. I only weighed nine pounds when I was born." The Steve and DC radio show would call him regularly as a guest. He enjoyed going to Helias, Mizzou and Jays games with all his buddies. He was a great St. Louis Cardinal fan and watched the games with the TV volume down and the Mike Shannon volume up. Bob was a member of the Eagles, a Knights of Columbus 4th Degree Knight, a member of the Holy Name Society, part of the Helias Booster Club, a member of the East Side Business Association and the Jefferson City Chamber of Commerce. Along with his wife, Judy, he is survived by: a daughter, Dana Jo Plummer (husband Gary) of Wichita, Kan.; one son, Robert Charles Huber Jr. of Lohman, Mo.; one sister, Joann Wilde (husband Daniel) of Westphalia Mo.; six grandchildren, Sam Plummer, Ethan Plummer, Katy Plummer, Ben Plummer-Exler, Cole Huber and Baylee Huber; and multiple nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Donnie Huber. Friends will be received from 4:00-7:30 p.m., Thursday, July 23, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home in Jefferson City. Funeral Services will be held at Houser-Millard Funeral Home at 12:00 p.m., Friday July 24, with Father Medina officiating.
