Josephine Antoinette Nolte, 75, of Jefferson City, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2015, at Golden Living Center. She was born on May 25, 1940, in Frankenstein, Missouri, the daughter of William "Bill" and Marie (Hausmann) Troesser, both of whom preceded her in death. She was married on May 29, 1972, in Frankenstein to Wayne R. Nolte, who survives of the home. She was a 1959 graduate of Fatima High School. She began working for Memorial Hospital as a ward clerk in 1967 and retired in 2005 as a switchboard operator for Capital Region Medical Center. She loved spending time with her family and attending the annual family reunions when she was able. She enjoyed working on crafts and loved to crochet. She was taught to crochet at recess by the nuns at St. Mary's School in Frankenstein. Besides her husband, she is survived by: two children, MaLinda Penberthy and husband Butch of Russellville, and Brian Nolte of Jefferson City; one grandson and light of her life, Lee Henry Penberthy; four brothers and sisters, Stephen Troesser of Linn, Bernadette Timberlake of Linn, James Troesser of Linn, and Gerald Troesser of Frankenstein; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Strope and Leona Troesser; two brothers, Bernard Troesser and William Troesser Jr.; and three sisters-in-law, Marlee Green, Judy Goff and Sue Lairmore. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors, with a Rosary at 6:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 24, 2015 at St. Peter Catholic Church with Father John J. Schmitz celebrating Mass. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Special Learning Center or Trinity Lutheran Youth Group.
