Frederick G. Bollinger, 76, of Jefferson City, formerly of St. Louis, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2015, at Adams Street Place in Jefferson City. "One Journey Ends and Another Begins". He was born May 8, 1939, in St. Louis, Mo., the son of the late Frederick Christian and Angeline (Martise) Bollinger. He attended Roosevelt High School in St. Louis. On August 1, 1959, Fred was united in marriage in St. Louis, to Barbara B. Volner, who survives at their home. Fred was employed at Anheuser Busch Brewery in St. Louis, where he worked as a bottler from the mid 1970's until retiring in 1998. He was a member of Local 1187 Bottlers Union. Fred enjoyed many activities including fishing, horseback riding on his horse Annie and treasure hunting with his metal detector. Along with his wife Barbara, Fred is also survived by: one son, Mark Christopher Bollinger (wife Kim) of Branson, Mo.; one daughter, Paula Lynne Bollinger-Burkemper of Russellville, Mo.; two sisters, Frances Ann Settlemoir of Marceline, Mo. and Deanna Marie Hoffman (husband Ron) of Boynton Beach, Fla.; five grandchildren, Michael, Amanda and Mark A. Bollinger, who called him "Grandpa" and Grant & Bronwyn Burkemper, who called him "Papa"; and one great-grandson, Logan Brinkman. Fred was preceded in death by his parents; and one son, Gary Frederick Bollinger. Friends will be received from 10:00-11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 15, 2015, at Solid Rock Family Church, with a Memorial Service to follow at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Joe Skiles officiating.
