Emerson Griggs

Emerson Griggs, 79, of Yuma, Ariz., passed away Thursday, July 16, 2015. Mr. Griggs was born March 2, 1936, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, the son of Harvey and Susie Dinwiddie Griggs. He married Anna Lucille Hollicker on November 1, 1975, in Cole County, Mo., and she survives. He retired from MO Lottery as a G-Tech Vendor, he had also worked as a sheet metal worker. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #43 in Jefferson City. His survivors include his wife, Lucille Griggs of Yuma, Ariz.; four children, Tim Patterson of Jefferson City, Teresa (Stan) Thomas of Columbia, Jeffrey Davis of Ga., and Jennifer (Travis) Schulte of Fulton; two sisters, Irma (Ronnie) Teague of Branson and Addie Kay Day of Moses Lake, Wash.; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at Robinson Funeral Home on Friday, July 24 , 2015, at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in New Salem Cemetery in Ashland. Visitation will be one hour prior to funeral.
