Patrick Henry Van Wagner

Patrick Henry Van Wagner, age 69 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Sunday, July 12, 2015, at the Golden Living Center. He was born in Troy, New York on February 24, 1946, to Bernard Lawrence and Elizabeth Louise Brison Van Wagner. As a very young child, Patrick was taken in and raised by John Aaron and Ellie Irene Smith Jacobs whom he considered his mother and father. He attended the Gracewood State School and Hospital in Augusta, Georgia. In the early 2000's Patrick relocated to the central Missouri area. He worked in a nursery where he realized his greatest passion was landscaping. He loved to help people lay out what to plant and all the details to ensure healthy growth. He was very knowledgeable when it came to plant life and gardening. Survivors include: two sisters, RoseMary Reid of Heflin, Alabama and Edna Irene Jacobs Flowers of Georgia; one brother, Charles (Van Wagner) Angelo DeCarlo of North Carolina; one sister-in-law, Margaret Chandler Van Wagner of Georgia; several other siblings whose whereabouts are unknown; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ellie Jacobs and one brother, Bernard Van Wagner Jr. A private graveside service and interment will be held at Longview Cemetery in Jefferson City.
