Peggy Ruth Hanesack

Peggy Ruth Hanesack, 76, of Jefferson City, passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2015, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia. She was born in Clifton Park, New York, on November 11, 1938, the daughter of Marvin and Clara (Wintery) Sweet. She was united in marriage on March 4, 1959, in Troy, New York, to James R. Hanesack Sr., who survives of the home. She was a graduate of Shenandoah High School in Clifton Park, New York. She was employed with the Internal Revenue Service as a Key Punch Operator. After retiring of the Internal Revenue Service, she became an apartment manager. Peggy enjoyed shopping, camping, fishing and anything to do with the outdoors. Most of all, Peggy, loved her family and the time she spent with them. She is survived by two sons: James R. (Rhonda) Hanesack Jr. of Ankeny, Iowa and Todd W. Hanesack with fiancÈe Darlene of Jefferson City; one step-daughter: Nyomi K. Reid of Northport, Florida; one brother: George M. (Brenda) Sweet of Concord, North Carolina; and five grandchildren. Family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Houser-Millard Funeral Chapel. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Houser-Millard Funeral Chapel with Rev. Steve Jones officiating. Expressions of sympathy may be made to ASPCA.
