Therese Mary Markway, 84, of Jefferson City, died Saturday, January 3, 2015, at Heisinger Bluffs. She was born September 30, 1930, in Folk, Missouri, the daughter of the late Joseph Herman and Margaret Sophia (Veltrop) Forck. She was a 1948 graduate of St. Peter High School. On October 2, 1954, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jefferson City, she married Donald Eugene Markway who survives. Mrs. Markway worked for over 42 years at Saffee's, retiring June 1, 1992. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Immaculata Club, Legion of Mary, St. Ann's Sodality and the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary. In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children, Gregory (Janet) Markway, Blue Springs; Deborah (Dennis) Nichols, Jefferson City; Michelle (Robert) Malone, Jefferson City; Michael (Sharron) Markway, Fort Worth, Texas; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two siblings, Joseph (Bonnie) Forck, Jefferson City; Yvonne (Bill) Wittman, Jefferson City; and one sister-in-law, Rose Mary Forck, Jefferson City. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Margaret Hood and Jane Pickert; and three brothers, Thomas Forck, Anthony Forck, and Cyrillus Forck. Visitation will be 4:30-7 p.m. Tuesday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 4 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Msgr. David D. Cox officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
