Gary F. Fisher, 75, of Holts Summit, passed away Friday, November 27, 2015, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City. He was born on March 10, 1940, in Brandsville, Mo., the son of James Arthur and Anne Elizabeth (French) Fisher, who preceded him in death. He was united in marriage on June 8, 1963, in Springfield, Mo., to Helen L. Wedge, who survives of the home. He was a 1958 graduate of West Plains High School in West Plains, Mo., and also a 1965 graduate of Southwest Missouri State University in Springfield, Mo. He was an entrepreneur of many restaurant businesses, the latest being Lee's Famous Recipe Chicken in Jefferson City, Columbia, Missouri. Gary enjoyed watching economic growth, locally and federally. He watched the stock markets very carefully and enjoyed history. He liked working and growing farms thoughout his life, but most importantly, he loved his wife, children, grandchildren and family. He treasured each and every moment he spent with them. He is also survived by: three sons, John Gary (Kerry) Fisher of Holts Summit, James Ellis (Karen) Fisher of Holts Summit and Thomas Jason (Melissa) Fisher of Rolla, Mo.; one sister, Nadine McMenemy of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; six grandchildren, Victoria Lynne Fisher, Elizabeth Anne Fisher, Abigail Grace Fisher, Micah James Fisher, Kayla Mae Fisher and Jacob Garrett Fisher; many nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Otis Fisher. Family will receive friends from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday, November 30, 2015, at Houser-Millard Funeral Chapel. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 1, 2015, at Houser-Millard Funeral Chapel with Pastor Mike Quinn and Pastor Joe Ulveling officiating. Interment will be in Hart Hill Cemetery in Holts Summit. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Concord Baptist Church-AIM International in care of Pete and Debbie Livingston.
