Mr. Ronald L. Saucier, age 68 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., died Saturday, August 22, 2015, at his home. Ronnie was born April 5, 1947, in Jefferson City, Mo., the son of Don and Doris "Dode" Spaid Saucier. He was married on December 27, 1965, in Jefferson City, Mo. to Myra Munson who preceded him in death on June 26, 2011. A lifelong resident of the Jefferson City area, Ronnie was a 1965 graduate of Jefferson City High School. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam Conflict. Ronnie was employed with the Missouri Division of Employment Security and the Missouri Lottery as a computer programmer until his retirement in 1998. He was an active member of the Samuel Gearhart Detachment of the Marine Corps League and served on many funeral military honors. Ronnie enjoyed golf, fishing, and writing. He was an accomplished musician playing at numerous locations and events. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his family. Survivors include: one son, Randy Saucier and his wife Lynn of Holts Summit, Mo.; two sisters, Shirley Baker and her husband Glenn of Plano, Texas and Barbara Miller and her husband Gale of Greenwood, Mo.; one grandson, Logan Saucier, and by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, August 27, 2015. A private family memorial service will be conducted at a later time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675.
