Carol J. Pearcy, 64, of Jefferson City, Mo., entered the Gates of Heaven on Thursday, August 20, 2015, at the home of her daughter, Kristina Broadway in Jefferson City, Mo. She was born May 21, 1951, in California, Mo., the daughter of Irene (Anderson) and Harold R. Pearcy of Jamestown, Mo.. She was married September 10, 2011, to Lee Dailey who survives in Lebanon, Mo. Carol retired from the Department of Corrections at Boonville Correctional Center in Boonville, Mo., where she was an Academic Teacher. She was a teacher, not just in the classroom, but outside the classroom as well. Carol always saw the beauty in every living and non-living thing. She always saw God clearly in the environment in which we live. She taught that everyone and everything has a place in this world. One of Carolís friends said, ìWhether you are here in the physical form or not, I will always see the bright sun, windy trees, aromatic flowers, and icky bugs and think of you.î Hopefully her lessons will continue. Family was also very important to Carol. She loved being with her children and grandchildren. It brought her great joy watching them grow. Carol was a genealogist, spending many pleasurable hours doing extensive research into her family history and the legacy they passed on to future generations. She is survived by: three daughters, Shawna (Rob) Williamson of Jamestown, Mo., Angela Ernst of Jefferson City, Mo. and Kristina (Jason) Broadway of Jefferson City, Mo.; step-children, Kevin Dailey (Sarah) of Roscoe, Ill., Kristen Dailey of Springfield, Mo.; four grandchildren, Bryant, Trey, Kanyon and Mia of Jamestown; and step-grandson, Jared Dulin of Springfield, Mo. Carol was preceded in death by her mother and father. Giving in death as in life, Carolís body has been donated to the University of Missouri School of Pathology and Anatomical Sciences. There will be no funeral or memorial services as the family chooses to morn their loss in the privacy of their homes. Memorials are suggested to the ASPCA, P.O. Box 96929, Washington, D.C. 20090-6929. Arrangements are under the direction of Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California, Mo.
