Virginia C. Quigley

Virginia C. Quigley, 90, of Eldon, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2015, at Good Shepherd Care Center in Versailles. She was born on December 24, 1924, in her parents farm house near Anna, Illinois, the daughter of James George and Lura (Barhart) Conant, who preceded her in death. She was united in marriage on November 30, 1945, in Arkansas to Robert James Quigley, who preceded her in death on April 9, 2009. She graduated from Anna High School and attended Business School in southern Illinois. She also attended Lincoln University later in life. She worked as a Legal Secretary for her husband Robert J. Quigley, Attorney at Law. She was a true testament to the Lord, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Eldon for 54 years. Virginia enjoyed flower gardening and taking care of all animals. Most of all, she loved her family, especially her grandchildren and treasured the time she spent with them. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother and friend to many. She is survived by: one daughter: Cynthia (Charlie) Kaiman of Albuquerque, New Mexico; four sons: Greg (Kathe) Quigley of Ellisville, Missouri, Dr. James (Jill) Quigley of Lenexa, Kansas, Dr. Patrick (Diane) Quigley of Beaver Creek, Ohio, and John (Tamie) Quigley of Eldon; one brother: Ralph Glenn Conant of Michigan; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters. Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. on Monday, August 17, 2015, at First Baptist Church of Eldon. Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, August 17, 2015, at First Baptist Church of Eldon with Pastor David White, officiating. Interment will follow at Eldon City Cemetery.
