Carol Sue Drinkard

Carol Sue Drinkard, 62, of Jefferson City, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2015, at her residence. She was born on March 9, 1953, in Nuremburg, Germany, the daughter of Perry and Norma (Hartley) Hudspeth. She was married on April 3, 1971, in Jefferson City, to Donald Drinkard, who survives of the home. Carol was a graduate of Jefferson City High School. She was a stay-at-home wife and mother and enjoyed taking care of her grandkids and great-grandkids. She was a doll collector, enjoyed making wreaths. She also loved to cook, and was very good at it. Along with her husband, she is survived by her father: Perry Hudspeth of Jefferson City; two sons: Jason Drinkard of Jefferson City and Donnie Drinkard of Kansas City; one daughter: Michelle Drinkard of Jefferson City; two brothers: Dwight Hudspeth of Jefferson City; Richard Hudspeth of Washington, D.C.; one sister, Nancy Macy of Jefferson City; two grandchildren: Brook Strange and Donald Drinkard and wife Ashley; and seven great-grandchildren: Briley, Kinleigh and Gavin Griffith; and Brooklynn, Emmitt, Charlie and Kai Drinkard. She was preceded in death by her mother: Norma (Hartley) Hudspeth; a sister: Betty Buford; and a brother: Mark Hudspeth. A Celebration of Carol's Life for family and friends will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at Riverside Park Pavilion.
