Steven Jay Morland

Steven Jay Morland, 55, of Holts Summit, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2015, at Capital Region Medical Center. He was born on July 2, 1959, in Jefferson City, the son of James Bedford and Virginia Ruth (Ousley) Morland, both of whom preceded him in death. He was married on August 12, 2012, in Williamsburg, to Georgette Steinmetz, who survives of the home. Steven graduated from Jefferson City High School and also from Linn Technical College. He worked as an auto mechanic, owning his own garage for a while and also working at Legend Automotive. He enjoyed fishing, and dirt track stock car racing. He loved to barbecue and enjoyed spending time with his kids. Along with his wife, he is survived by six children: Bradley Morland, Cory Hedrick, Heaven Hedrick, Kaida Morland, Cristal Morland, and step-daughter Pamela Barrett; one granddaughter: Kailynn Morland; five brothers and sisters: Jimmy Morland, Danny Morland, Jean Patterson, Linda Reed, and Kay Morland.
