Linda Kay Potts, 65, of Jefferson City, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics- Columbia. She was born on February 2, 1950, in Jefferson City, the daughter of John F. and Ethel L. (Hendricks) Browner, who preceded her in death. She was a graduate of Russellville High School. During her life, she worked for the Missouri Department of Corrections as a Corrections Officer and then went to work for Breaktime/MFA Oil Retail Stores as a Retail Clerk. Linda loved to go to her sister's cabin on the Little Piney River. She also enjoyed fishing and most importantly loved to spend time shopping with her grandson, Kolby at Wal-Mart. She loved her family and enjoyed the special moments she shared with them. Linda is survived by two daughters: Jodie (Ronald Howell) Beyer of Jefferson City and Lisa Morton of Springfield, Missouri; one son: Jimmy (Julie) Hollandsworth of Artic Village, Alaska; two brothers: Jim (Marie) Browner of New Bloomfield and Raymond (Joyce) Browner of Russellville, Missouri; one sister: Helen Hader of Jefferson City; two sister-in-laws: Norma Browner of Fenton, Missouri and Betty Browner of Russellville, Missouri; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her significant other: Rick Morton in 2008; one son: Derrick Morton; two brothers: Bobby Browner and Donald Browner and one sister: Betty Robinett. Family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m on Saturday, April 18, 2015, at Houser-Millard Funeral Chapel. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2015, at Houser-Millard Funeral Chapel with Deacon Jim Browner officiating. Interment will follow at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
