Paul Edward Wehmeyer

Paul Edward Wehmeyer, (also known as Buddy), age 83, passed away Monday, April 6, 2015, in Port Richey, Florida, after a long bout with cancer. Paul was born February 28,1932, and raised in Jefferson City, Mo., where he was a member of First Christian Church, attended Jefferson City schools and was a Korean War veteran. He resided in Eugene, Mo. until approximately six months ago. He leaves behind two children, Michael Wehmeyer (North Pole, Alaska) and Elaine (husband Mike) Ashourian, along with three grandchildren Ashley, Taylor and Zach Ashourian in Jacksonville, Florida; and two sisters, Loise White, Jefferson City, Mo. and Laura Machacek in Port Richey, Florida; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Paul was preceded in death by his father and mother, Frank and Luvena Wehmeyer, and his brother, Fred Wehmeyer. A memorial service will be held in Eugene at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation be sent to Goldschmidt Cancer Center in Jefferson City, Mo.
