Frank J. Schollmeyer, age 84, of Chamois, passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at his residence. Frank was born August 6, 1930, in Chamois, a son to the late John and Anna (Gress) Schollmeyer. Frank attended school in Chamois. On February 3, 1951, he was united in marriage to Irene Maxey at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Frankenstein. She survives of the home. In his early years, Frank farmed the "bottoms" near Chamois and later raised cattle. Frank was a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Chamois. Frank enjoyed attending old car and tractor shows. In addition to his spouse of 64 years, Frank is survived by: four sons, David "Dave" (Glenda Schutte) Schollmeyer of Chamois, Fred Schollmeyer and his wife Diane of Chamois, James "Jim" Schollmeyer of Chamois, and Robert "Rob" (Kathi Schollmeyer) Schollmeyer of Chamois; six grandchildren, Nick (Crystal) Schollmeyer, Jessica (Michael) Bax, Jon (Kristina Kerlies) Schollmeyer, Amy (David) Foster, Aubrey Schollmeyer, Andrea Schollmeyer; six great-grandchildren, and several cousins. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 10, 2015, at Morton Chapel in Chamois. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2015, at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Chamois with Fr. David Means as the celebrant. Interment will be in Most Pure Heart of Mary Parish Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church.
