Linda Elaine James

Linda Elaine James, age 63 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Thursday, March 27, 2014, at Villa Marie. Linda was born on May 16, 1950, in Denver, Colo., a daughter of Albert and Lucille Moad James. Linda grew up and graduated from high school in Denver, Colo. She later received her bachelor's degree in education from the University of Denver and her Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Missouri in Columbia, Mo. A resident of Jefferson City for the past 30 years, Linda worked with the Department of Natural Resources for many years. Having her roots in Colorado, Linda always loved the mountains and cherished time snow skiing with her family. She enjoyed gardening, taking care of her cats and during her younger years, she was a talented ballerina. Linda is lovingly survived by her mother, Lucille James of Jefferson City, Mo. and a good family friend, Andrea Polendo of Chamois, Mo. She was preceded in death by her father, Albert; one sister, Karen James; and one brother, Edward James. A private family service will be held at a later time.
