Adelaide Lolli Decker, age 101, of Jefferson City, Missouri, passed away Sunday, December 7, 2014, at Oak Tree Villa, in Jefferson City. She was born December 29, 1912, in Keota, Macon County, Missouri to John and Edith (Muzzarilli) Lolli who preceded her in death. She was united in marriage on March 23, 1940, to E. William (Bill) Decker who preceded her in death September 24, 1998. She was employed by the Missouri Conservation Commission for 10 years. For a number of years, she was a secretary in the Senate Secretary's office. In 1978, she retired from the Senate Information Office. She use to say that she had walked every inch of the Capital building and talked to Thomas Hart Benton while he was sketching and painting the murals on the Capital walls. She was honored on her 99th birthday with a presentation of "Resolution" from the Senate presented in the Senate Chamber. Mrs. Decker was a member of St Peter's Catholic Church. She was active in the Girls and Boys Scout Program, also in the Home and School Association and the St. Peter's Altar Sodality. Mrs. Decker was President of the Diocesan Council of Catholic Women working with Bishop Marling. Following retirement, Adelaide, for 11 years, donated her time to the St Joseph Home for the Aged. She was a member of the Cole County Historical Society, Westphalia Historical Society, St. Mary's Health Center Auxiliary and Meadow Lake Acres County Club. She was a founding member of Meadow Lake Acres Country Club. Golf was her passion having so many wonderful memories and friends. She played golf into her 90's! Adelaide is survived by her daughter, Lolli Davis and husband Tom of Olathe, Kansas, son John William Decker and wife Jean of Taos, Missouri; five grandchildren Michael Davis (Jenny), Scott Davis (Michelle), Tom Decker, Jennifer Decker, Caitlin Hamilton (Derrick); five great-grandchildren Tyler Davis, Logan Davis, Camron Davis, Caleb Decker and Aiden Wilson. She was preceded in death by a brother, John Lolli; one sister, Mary Lolli Taylor and husband James B Taylor and one grandson, Christopher John Decker. The family would like to say thank you for the loving care given to Adelaide by the staff of Oak Tree Villa, SSM Hospice nurses and Dr. Don Miller and the many friends that kept a close watch over her. Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 11, 2014, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Chapel. A Prayer Service will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. with the Reverend David Maher, officiating. Burial will be private for the family. Expressions of sympathy may be made to SSM Hospice or the Federation of the Blind.
