Joshua Adam Ortbals, age 37, of Russellville, Mo., went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 27, 2013, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Russellville, Mo. He was born May 8, 1976, in Jefferson City, Mo., the son of Teddy and Janet (Mueller) Ortbals of Russellville, Mo. Josh graduated from Russellville High School in 1995. He was employed 16 years at Cowley Distributing and recently employed with Unilever. As a child, he grew up in Cole Spring Baptist Church. Josh enjoyed farming and gardening. Josh will be remembered as a beloved son, and brother, a loyal friend, a father figure, and helping any way he could. Josh was known for making people laugh. He was the whole package as a human being. He will be sadly missed. Along with his parents, survivors include: one brother, Andrew Ortbals with his wife Shelly, along with their children Quinten, Alyssa, and David of Russellville; one sister, Leah Mertens with her husband Charlie, along with their children, Madisen, Zeke and baby Jocie of Russellville; maternal grandmother, Sally Mueller; paternal grandmother, Shirley Ortbals. Josh was preceded in death by two grandfathers: Raymond William Mueller and Webster (Buddy) Ortbals Sr. Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 30, 2013, from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Weber Funeral Chapel in Russellville, Mo. Funeral Services will be held October 31, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. At Weber Funeral Home with Pastor William Say officiating. Burial will be in the Enloe Cemetery, Russellville, Mo. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
