Charles Jasper Felber

Charles Jasper Felber, age 97, of Jefferson City, passed away Saturday, October 26, 2013, at his home. He was born June 17, 1916, in Olean, a son of John and Cora Cook Felber. On April 18, 1942, Charlie married Ella Myrtle Campbell. Myrtle preceded him in death September 20, 1999. On June 29, 2006, Charlie married Catherine Duncan Wiles. Cathy survives at their home. In 1948 he went to work as an aircraft mechanic with McDonnell-Douglas in St. Louis, retiring in 1982. Charlie always stayed busy, working as a carpenter and painting houses in St. Louis and after returning to the Russellville area. He also drove a bus for the Cole County R-I school district in Russellville for several years. He was a faithful member of the Russellville Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Harvey Dale Felber and wife Nellya of Scottsdale, Arizona; two daughters, Jean Ligeno and husband Louis of Maquoketa, Iowa, and Rita Eggers and husband Gene of Silex; one brother, Roy Paul Felber and wife Shirley of Henley; one sister, Anna May Bell and husband Nelson of Columbia; six grandchildren, Christopher, Charles and James Felber, Patrick and Paul Hayden and Sarah Eggers; four great-grandchildren, along with several nieces, nephew, other relatives and friends. Charlie was also preceded in death by his parents; one son, James Felber; one sister, Pauline Payne; and two great-grandchildren. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 30, at the Russellville Baptist Church with Rev. Dinzel Webb officiating. Interment will be in the Enloe Cemetery west of Russellville. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church on Wednesday.
