Edward "Tony" Nichols

Edward "Tony" Nichols, 68, of Jefferson City, passed away Saturday, November 9, 2013, at his home. He was born March 30, 1945, in Boone County, the son of Hollis E. and Flora (Johnson) Nichols. On July 25, 1986, he was united in marriage to Donna Larkin, who survives at the home. Tony was a 1963 graduate of Southern Boone High School. He served in the United States Navy. Tony retired from Missouri Department of Transporatation, where he made highway signs. He enjoyed woodworking, crossword puzzles, word searches and gardening. Along with his wife Donna and mother Flora, he is survived by five children: John Nichols and wife Margaret, Marsha Nichols, Jessica Boessen and husband Adam, Teresa Clark, and Tanya Denny and husband Alan; three siblings: Morris Nichols and wife Leona, Berry Nichols and wife Loretta and Gloria Nichols; and eight grandchildren: Shelby Mobley, Nicholas Mobley, Jonathan Nichols, Tamra Nichols, Kaleb Nichols, Jacob Meyer, William Drew and wife Suzie and Kaylee Boessen. He was preceded in death by his father, Hollis, and one daughter, Lisa Nichols. Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 12, 2013, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 13, 2013, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Johnson Cemetery.
