Jean Rotter, age 78, of Loose Creek, passed away Thursday, February 28, 2013, at University Hospital and Clinics in Columbia. Jean was born November 20, 1934, in Russellville, a daughter to the late O. F. "Stub" and Virginia (VanPool) Stubinger. Jean was a 1952 graduate of Russellville High School. She later received her Nursing Degree in Kansas City. In 1981, she was united in marriage to John Rotter in Jefferson City. He survives at the home. Jean worked as an Echocardiogram Specialist at Charles E. Still Hospital and Memorial Hospital for 40 years. In addition to her husband, Jean is survived by: two sons, Russ and his wife Sandi Seaver of Marion, Iowa, and Jay and his wife Debbie Seaver of Jefferson City; one daughter, Melissa Seaver of Russellville; three step-sons, Andy Rotter and his companion Tonya Moss of Tebbetts, Scott and his wife Teresa Rotter of Holts Summit and Glen Rotter of Holts Summit; five grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and 3 step-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by one step-son, Jay Rotter. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 3, 2013, at Morton Chapel in Linn. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 4, 2013, at Morton Chapel in Linn. Interment will follow in the Immaculate Conception Parish Cemetery in Loose Creek.
