Paula Alfaro Walker, 56, of Fulton, was called to her Heavenly Home on Friday, July 26, 2013. She was born September 26, 1956, in Irapuato, Mexico, the daughter of Tomas Alfaro Sr. and Enriqueta Montelongo Alfaro. On September 2, 1978, she was united in marriage to Lemuel Walker in New Bloomfield. He survives at their home. Paula was a member of the First Assembly of God where she was active in the Women's Bible Study Group. She had a passion for faith and politics. Paula proudly became a citizen of the United States of America in 2010. She was her son Jonathan's biggest supporter in his military career. Along with her husband of nearly 35 years, Paula's memory will live forever in the hearts of her son, Jonathan Walker of Fulton; brothers, Tomas and Enrique Alfaro of Mexico; sisters, Sofia Teegarden of Tipton and Emilia Alfaro of Mexico; and nieces and nephews, Tomas Ivan Alfaro, Alethia Alfaro Jimenez, Gabriel E. Alfaro, Paulina Alfaro, Tyten and Trent Teegarden, and Moices and Carlos DeLeon, and Luis Daniel Alfaro. Paula was preceded in death by her father. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 1, 2013, at the First Assembly of God Church in Fulton with Reverend Mike Haldeman officiating. Interment will follow in the State Veteran's Cemetery in Jacksonville. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton. In lieu of customary memorials, the family suggests donations be made in Paula's name to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, c/o Debo Funeral Home, 833 Court Street, Fulton, MO 65251.
