Margaret K. Wilson

Mrs. Margaret K. Wilson, age 90 years, of Brazito, Mo., passed away Thursday, July 11, 2013, at Capital Region Medical Center surrounded by her family. She was born on December 27, 1922, in Old Linn Creek, Mo., to Henry Frederick and Sarah "Jane" Caviness Cumper. She was married in May 1964 in Camdenton, Mo. to Kenneth Henry Wilson. A lifelong resident of the central Missouri area, Margaret was a 1942 graduate of Camdenton High School. She was employed as a housekeeper at Ha Ha Tonka for many years and later worked at Tan- Tar-A Resort when it first opened. Margaret moved to Jefferson City in the 1970's to work as a housekeeper at the Holiday Inn. During that time in Jefferson City, she also provided child care out of her home. She was a member of Hickory Hill Baptist Church. Margaret's main passion in life was taking care of her family and spreading joy to others. She helped raise her grandchildren for over 30 years and more recently, cherished time with her great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed her rose garden. Survivors include: her husband of 49 years, Kenneth Wilson; one daughter, Linda Lou Hornberger of Eldon, Mo.; one step-son, Keith Wilson and his wife Cynthia of Sarasota, Fla.; her granddaughter, Stacy Marie Rush and her husband Jason of Eldon, Mo.; three great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Rush, Austin Rush and Aiden Jeffrey Smith; and one brother, Jimmy Dale Cumper of Kansas City, Mo. She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Barbara Ann McMullen on April 13, 1994; one grandson, Jeffrey Lee Smith on July 13, 2004; five sisters, Della Rogers, Odessa "Dessi" Burns, Mary Miller, Mildred Eidson, and Colleen Shippy; and two brothers, Henry "Junior" Cumper Jr. and James "Willard" Cumper Sr. Visitation will be held at Hickory Hill Baptist Church in Hickory Hill, Mo. from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m.. Monday, July 15, 2013. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 15, 2013, at Hickory Hill Baptist Church with the Reverend Steve Hogard officiating. Graveside services and interment will be held at Hickory Hill Cemetery. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Operation Christmas Child through Hickory Hill Baptist Church or the Susan G.
